Successful test-runs and verification of Biochar System

We have carried out successful test runs of pelletization and pyrolysis with the equipment supplier that we have partnered with – and made successful chemical analyses of the resulting biochar. We have focused on developing cooperation with a technology supplier that can manage both to deliver robust and cost-effective technology for deployment in areas with rough conditions, and at the same time operate at temperatures up to 600 °C in order to be able to produce biochar with high fraction of stable polycyclic aromatic carbon (PAC). This is important because most kilns used in developing country contexts operate at lower temperatures.

The analyzed biochar shows top quality and meets the requirements of the EBC-Agro Organic standard. The biochar analysis was performed according to guidelines for the sustainable production of biochar - EBC, Version 10.1E - of 10/01/2022 and by an independent lab. (IQSTAP) It implies that the biochar can be used as soil amendment, carbon sequestration, or other purposes.
